An opportunity to explore Plumstead, get some fresh air and exercise and meet up with some friendly locals, this year the Easter Quiz Crawl (formerly known as the Easter Treasure Hunt) will take place on Easter Sunday, the 16th of April 2017. You will be given a map and a question and answer sheet to solve as you walk round the local area. The route will start at 2pm at The Star 158 Plumstead Common Road, London SE18 2UL . Answers should be submitted by 3:30pm and the winners will be announced at 4pm at the Old Mill, Plumstead Common, SE18 1QG. There is no charge for this event.
The Easter Quiz Crawl involves working out the route from a series of clues and answering questions about places on route. For example, a street clue could be in the form of an anagram or a cryptic crossword clue “Ancient Grind Way(3,4,4)” – Old Mill Road. An example picture clue could be “What is missing from the following picture?” (The Mill). Previous question sheets (not including map) can be found on our Resource Page
Individuals and Teams can enter. Question sheets can be collected from the Star Inn from 2pm to 2:30pm and you can start immediately. Your answers should be handed in before 3:30pm at The Old Mill on Plumstead Common. Points will be deducted for entries handed in after 3:30pm ( -1 point for each minute late). Late submission are allowed between 3:30 and 4pm. The winners shall be announced at 4pm.
The route is approximately one and a half miles long and should take under an hour and a half to complete. The route is on roads and footpaths and will involve crossing major roads – please use the pedestrian crossings.
