Fruit & Vegetable Sculpting Competition

This year’s Plumstead Make Merry takes place on Saturday 8th June and, besides running the Information Tent, Art Plumstead will be organizing the popular Fruit & Vegetable Sculpting Competition, as they have done in previous years. The entries will be on display in the Information Tent, where visitors will be given the opportunity to vote for their favourite.

We have decided that there will be no theme to this year’s competition and so it is time for your memories to run riot. However, when you submit your entry please provide a title to help the visitors with their deliberations. Judging is purely done on the sculpture and title, as the makers names are not shown.

Entries should be delivered to Dee Goodwin at the Information Tent between 11am and midday on 8th June. Late entries will be accepted but please note that they will be at a disadvantage, as judging by the public begins at noon.

Voting will be open to all members of the public and prizes of a £30 M&S voucher will be given for 1st place, a £20 M&S voucher of 2nd place and finally a £10 M&S voucher for 3rd place in the competition will be announced and awarded after 4pm on the day.

So, get thinking, get sculpting and use your “five a day” wisely.
