Each year Art Plumstead put on an open air performance on Halloween (October 31). The theme is loosely based on the world of ghosts and spirits but is deliberately distanced from modern Trick or Treating and Witches’ costumes. It is aimed at adults.
Works have included stories by M R James and Sheridan Le Fanu and extracts from the epic Anglo-Saxon poem Beowulf. Poetry and music and non-fiction works created by members of the group are also integrated into the evening. If nothing else the evening is a different way of spending time out in the open, at night-time, at the onset of winter.
